Plugs closed at luer tip are designed to seal at the tip of the plug, where it connects with the female luer fitting, ideal when it’s crucial to prevent any leakage or contamination at the tip of the fitting. Plugs closed at the grip feature a sealing mechanism located closer to the body of the plug, where it connects with the mating female luer fitting. This design may be preferred in applications where the tip of the fitting needs to remain open or where the focus is on sealing at the base rather than the tip.

White nylon is suitable for Gamma radiation, ethylene oxide (EtO), and autoclave sterilization.
