The Guardian 5000 stirring hot plates are designed to provide powerful heating and mixing capabilities for use in laboratories, pharmacies, schools, businesses, and light industry. Precise stirring from 50 to 1800 rpm is made possible by the design of a powerful motor, strong magnet, and software controlled ramp rate.
Several safety features are built into the hot plates. The SmartHeat™ system provides an upper temperature limit control from 0°C to the rated maximum, preventing overheating. While the early detection system, SafetyHeat™, uses two independent safety controls to continuously monitor the electronics in real-time and automatically shuts off heating before overtemperature conditions occur. Another safety feature is the Run Dry Protection System which shuts off heating and triggers an alarm if the probe-controlled heating is running without the probe tip being submerged in the heating medium. Visual indicators ensure you are aware of potentially dangerous conditions, enhancing overall safety.
The SmartRate™ system allows you to select heating and stirring speeds, from fast and intensive to slow and precise, providing flexibility for various applications. You can adjust the speed or temperature ramping rates for specific needs.
A bright LCD display features large temperature and speed settings, intuitive icons, and clear status indicators, including a prominent hot top indicator, for easy monitoring across the lab. Other features include a RS-232 port for remote control or data logging, green indicator lights when unit is heating and stirring, probe in use icon, single point calibration icon, rotary knob control, two built-in support rod holders, text and symbol HOT caution indicators, large dip angle front panel for easy monitoring from a distance, smooth enclosure surfaces for easy cleaning, audible alarm, IP32 ingress protection, and chemical resistant housing.
