Safety Eyewear Selection Guide

A guide for product comparisons!

OSHA requirements state that protective eye and face devices must comply with ANSI Z87.1 (American National Standard Practice for Occupational and Educational Eye and Face Protection). ANSI Z87.1 requires that all lenses be permanently imprinted with the manufacturer's monogram and all frames marked "Z87".

Types of Eyewear

Safety glasses have impact-resistant lenses and strong frames to protect you from flying particles.

Safety goggles are designed to provide a shield around the entire eye area to protect against hazards from many directions.

Face shields give you full face protection against sparks, splashes, and splatter. They provide secondary protection and must be worn with protective glasses or goggles.
