More About this Item
The TTRU1 handheld meters use a single-phase step-down method to measure the ratio and polarity of the transformer's turns. It can help identify any shorted turns, open-circuited conditions, or insulation deterioration to ensure the power transformer is performing properly.
A full-color, hi-bright LCD screen, rotary knob, seven function buttons, and an easy-to-follow setup provide the right result every time. The meter performs a vector group validation during every test to determine whether the transformer is additive or subtractive. Use the excitation current test to locate defects in magnetic core balance, magnetic core structure, shifting windings, failures in the turn-to-turn insulation, or problems in tap changers.
Store up to 10,000 sets of single-phase results on the meter. Install PC software to view and download data to a computer or a thumb drive via the USB-A connection. The meter operates on six NiMH rechargeable batteries, offering maximum portability and flexibility; it performs up to 1000 TTR tests on a single charge. Simply charge batteries by connecting to a wall charger or computer USB port.
This advanced model has the features to take your job to the next level. Import data to PowerDB to easily analyze results. It contains a collection of test forms with built-in interfaces, relay/breaker/recloser curves for timing tests on specific test forms, and associates test results with historical results. Completed results are stored in files on your PC. Use the Go/No go short circuit, open circuit, and inductance winding tests to ensure there are no easily identifiable failures. Easily save and recall up to 10 commonly used transformer vectors and voltages found in the power network, minimizing errors.
